When you are logged into your gmail account, you can search for google plus profiles using the default search box display. Have a look at the screen shot below:
The above screen shot displays my Google Plus profile when I searched my name on Google. (Please note that you need to be logged into your gmail account to see this).
But, clicking on the link displays, “the search option you selected is currently available”.
May be some testing is going on with Google but in the coming months, bigger changes are expected for Google Plus. This is a great move by Google to promote Google Plus.
