It is a method of redirecting user from the old page url to
the new page url. 301 redirects tells the search engines that the old page has
been permanently moved to the new url. As such, it helps to maintain the search
engine rankings for that particular page. This method also helps to transfer
the page rank of the old webpage to the newly created web page.
When should we use 301 redirects?
